Sai Spiritual Education (SSE), also known as Bal Vikas, is a program initiated by Sri Sathya Sai Baba to teach ancient principles of righteousness and spirituality to children. The primary goal of SSE is to raise generations who have a clean conscience and a clear understanding of universal Values.

Origin and Purpose: In 1969, Sri Sathya Sai Baba began the program in India, which was initially called Bal Vikas (meaning “Blossoming of the Child”). Outside India, it is now known as Sai Spiritual Education (SSE). The program aims to promote the Unity of Religions, the Fatherhood of God, and the Brotherhood of Man. It emphasizes the five human values: Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Love, and Nonviolence. SSE stories often revolve around the life of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Global Reach: SSE is conducted by Sri Sathya Sai Organization centers in over 100 countries. It provides a spiritual foundation for children, nurturing their character and understanding of ethical principles.

Inner Transformation: Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s vision for SSE involves three levels of transformation: individual, social, and spiritual. The acronym SAI stands for Spiritual, Association, and Individual Change. It also represents Service, Adoration, and Illumination corresponding to work, worship, and wisdom.

Teaching Values: Children learn about the five human values and how to apply them in their daily lives. These values include love, peace, right action, truth, and non-violence. SSE also fosters an understanding and respect for the world’s major religions.

Join us every Sunday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Calgary Sai Centre.

Bhajans

Meeting ID: 893 2504 9324Passcode: 698801

Sri Sathya Sai Baba emphasized the profound significance of bhajans (devotional singing) as a spiritual practice. Let’s explore why bhajans hold a special place in the hearts of devotees:

Unity with God:

Bhajans are not mere songs; they are a stream of bliss that flows from the heart.

When you sing bhajans, it becomes a conversation with the Divine.

The essence of man merges with the awareness of “Soham”—the unity of “I” and “He”

Tears of Joy:

Devotional singing can evoke tears of joy.

When Sri Sathya Sai Baba entered the hall during darshan, a devotee experienced this transformation.

The charming smile of Swami left an indelible mark, reminding us of the Divine presence.

Purity and Faith: With each bhajan sung, the mind should become purer, free from passion, and stronger in faith.Bhajans are a powerful means to redemption in this modern era.

So, when you participate in bhajans, remember that it is not just about singing; it is about connecting to the Divine, experiencing joy, and weaving your soul into a melodious conversation with God.

Join us every Sunday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM from Sept to June at the Calgary Sai Centre.
